The Big Plateau Trail covers 5.8 miles and has light traffic. This point-to-point trek found in Medora, North Dakota is rated moderately difficult and has a 140 feet elevation gain. The trail leads southeast and rapidly drops to the lower plateau, which sports a large prairie dog town. The best time to use the route is between April and October. There are multiple bison on the trail, and no dogs are allowed. The course offers activities such as bird watching, nature trips, walking, and hiking for your family and kids. You will not find any shade, therefore wear solar protection and carry your drinking water.
