Located within the Mill Creek Recreation, the Bennington Lake Trail is a 2.7-mile loop trail. A moderately trafficked trail, the Bennington Lake Trail is mostly used for horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and nature walks. It is also the perfect destination for anyone who enjoys fishing. Since this is not a seasonal trail, hikers can access the Bennington Lake Trail at any time of the year. Because of its gradual terrain, the Bennington Lake Trail is suitable for both children and inexperienced hikers. Coyotes, deer, goldfinches, and woodpeckers are quite commonly seen along the trail. From the highest point of the trail, hikers enjoy viewing of the brilliantly blue, Lake Bennington and the Blue Mountains. While dogs are allowed on this trail, they should always be on a leash.
