The Beaver Pond Trail is a less-trafficked loop trail accessible all year round used for nature trips, hiking, and bird watching. It takes about 4 hours to hike the 5-mile long trail which is rated moderate in terms of difficulty and has an elevation gain of 350 feet. The Beaver Pond Trail is kid-friendly though dogs are not permitted on this trail. The Beaver Pond Trail, which has an Algonquin beaver ecology, is home to two beaver ponds, beaver lodges, and beaver dams. The trail has beautiful wildlife like grizzlies, black bears, beavers, moose, pronghorn, elk, and mule deer. Wildflowers like asters, Indian paintbrush, geraniums, and gaillardia are common in Beaver Pond Trail. Beaver Pond Trail is also home to various birds like muskrats, waterfowl, warblers, wrens and water birds. There are no restrooms on this trail but they can be found in the nearby campgrounds. Users of Beaver Pond Trail ought to carry drinking water and bear spray.
