The Sheep Mountain Trail is a 20-mile, out-and-back trail located within the Pasayten Wilderness, Washington. Being a seasonal trail, the Sheep Mountain Trail is best used from July to August. There are two ways to approach the Sheep Mountain, either through Billy Goat-Larch Creek Trail or through the Lake Creek Trail. While kids are not allowed on the Sheep Mountain trail, dogs can access the trail. However, they should always be on a leash. Lupines, Clematis, and Columbines are quite common along the Sheep Mountain trail. At the highest sections of the Sheep Mountain Trail, hikers will be rewarded with scenic vistas of numerous peaks, mountains, and Sheep Lake. A Trail Park Pass is required to access either of these trails. Drinking water is also readily available along the trails.
