Located near Concrete, Washington, the Baker River Trail is a 5-mile multi-use trail that is suitable for people of all skill levels. An out-and-back trail, the Baker River Trail offers mind-blowing views of Mount Shuksan and the Baker River, a magnificent primeval rain forest, exotic wildflowers, caves, rock boulders, as well as the cascading mountain ranges. Huckleberry and Salmonberry are also quite common on the Baker River Trail, signifying the presence of bears. Hikers might even get lucky to see one. The Baker River Trail is open to the public throughout the year. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the trail. There are numerous stream crossings where hikers can obtain drinking water from. Thus, hikers should always bring a water filter.
