Union Falls Trail is a 15.4–mile, heavily trafficked, out-and-back trail located near Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The trail is best used for hiking, running, camping, horseback riding and nature walks any time of the day from May until September. The Union Falls Trail is rated intermediate in terms of difficulty due to its elevation gain of 1,938 feet. The trail is family-friendly, kids included, but dogs are not allowed on the trail. The Union Falls Trail offers a beautiful view of river/creek, forest, wildflowers and opens up to the spectacular 250 feet foot union falls, the tallest named backcountry waterfall in the park. There is parking area at the Union Falls Trail trailhead but no restrooms and fresh drinking water, so hikers carry theirs.
