The Silver Lake-Monte Cristo Trail is an 11-mile, out-and-back trail located near Darrington, Washington. Being a moderately trafficked, this trail is ideal for hiking, backpacking, and camping. Since the Silver Lake-Monte Christo trail is seasonal, it is best used from May to October. A family-friendly trail, the Silver Lake Trail features a dense forest cover and wildflowers. Despite being a strenuous hike, views of the magnificent Silver Lake, Twins Lake, and other landscapes make this hike worth the effort. There are rivers and lakes along the way where you can fill your water bottles. To get a parking spot, you'll need to acquire a Northwest Parking Pass that costs about $5.
