Monument Geyser Basin Trail is a lightly trafficked 2.3-mile out-and-back trail that could take about one-and-a-half hours to cover. The trail is rated moderate in terms of navigation with an elevation gain of 700 feet. There are colorful pools, steaming chimney, hot springs, and wildlife, which people get to view and is best used between July and September. Monument Geyser Basin Trail is open for nature trips, walking, running, hiking, and bird watching. The trail may not be kid-friendly since it is steep. There is no parking and restrooms, and you may have to carry your own water.
