Loneman Lookout Trail is a 14.2-mile, lightly trafficked, out-and-back trail located near West Glacier, Montana. With an elevation gain of 3,861 feet, this trail is rated advanced and therefore kids and dogs are not recommended. The Trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching. Best used from March until October, the Loneman Lookout Trail is accessible any time of the day all year round. This trail rarely has views obscured by trees hence provides fantastic views at the summit, majestic mountains, wildflowers, wildlife, lake, and a river. There is a spring along the trail where you can use a water filter and replenish your water bottles or camelback.
