Grinnell Glacier Trail is an 11.3-mile, heavily trafficked, out-and-back trail located near Babb, Montana. It has an elevation gain of 1,600 feet, rated advanced, and is not suitable for kids and dogs. The Grinnell Glacier Trail is home to a variety of activities including bird watching, fishing, hiking, and nature trips. The Grinnell Glacier Trail is accessible all day long but best used from mid -June until September when the trail is free of snow. Hiking on the trail takes approximately 5-6 six hours up and back stunning alpine scenery, emerald green lakes, fall, stunning glaciers, wildflowers, and wildlife. There is no provision of fresh drinking water on the Grinnell Trail so hikers must carry their own.
