The Cracker Lake Trail is a kid-friendly, heavily trafficked, out-and-back trail used for hiking, horse riding, camping, and bird watching. The trail is accessible throughout the year but it is at its best from May to October. It takes about 9 hours to hike the Cracker Lake Trail, which is a 12-mile long path with an elevation gain of 1,650 feet and is rated moderate in terms of difficulty. There are no restrooms on this trail and hikers ought to carry drinking water. Horses use the Cracker Lake Trail but dogs are not allowed on the path. The Cracker Lake Trail is home to a beautiful river, a forest, a lake, and a mountain. Users of the Cracker Lake Trail get to enjoy the views of wildflowers like arnica and wildlife like deer and bears. For this reason, hikers are advised to carry bear spray.
