Champlain South Ridge is a well-marked, 1.5-mile, point-to-point, moderately trafficked trail in Acadia National Park, Maine. With an elevation gain of 600 feet, it is an intermediate and family-friendly trail, kids included. The Champlain South Ridge Trail is accessible any time of the day preferably in spring, summer, and fall. The Champlain South Ridge Trail is used for bird watching, hiking, nature trips, and walking. This trail features spectacular views of wildlife and old growth forest. Dogs are allowed on the Champlain South Ridge Trail, but they must be kept on leash.
