Located near Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, the Cascade Lake Trail is a nice 4.4-mile, moderately trafficked out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 183 feet. Rated as moderate, this trail is kid friendly and a free home to camping, fishing, nature trips, walking, and running. Dogs, however, are not allowed. A stunning view of open meadows, pristine lake, wildflowers, wildlife, and bugs in the Cascade Lake Trail is accessible any time of the day. The best time of year to visit is summer and fall, although the trail can be set and snowy through July.
