While only a fraction of the size of Yosemite Fall, Bridalveil Fall is magnificent in its own right and is one of the most beautiful of the waterfalls in Yosemite National Park. This 620-foot waterfall is commonly the first waterfall viewed by those entering Yosemite Valley. The trail to Bridalveil Fall is heavily trafficked and is open year-round.

The Bridalveil Fall Trail is an easy and family-friendly trail. It is a 0.5-mile, out-and-back hike culminating at the spectacular waterfall that cascades from Bridalveil Creek into the Merced River. The trail is paved but is not wheelchair accessible due to its grade. Dogs are welcome on the trail but must be leashed.

Parking is available at the trailhead off Wawona Road or at Southside Drive. The Yosemite Valley Shuttle does not provide dropoff to this trailhead, so you must drive in and park. There are vault toilets at the trailhead but no water fountains, although for this brief 20-minute hike, that should not be an issue.

In the spring and early summer when the waterfall is at its peak, water spray is intense and may prevent you from accessing the end of the trail. Icy and slick conditions are common in winter. Stay safe by staying on the paved trail and be aware that the rocks and boulders above the viewing platform are slippery even when dry. Hikers have incurred serious injuries by attempting to scramble off the trail in this area.
