Beehive Loop Trail is a 1.4-mile, heavily trafficked, loop trail located near Seal Harbor, Maine. The trail can be used any time of the day, preferably from May until October, for rock climbing, hiking, walking, and nature walks. Hiking on the trail takes about an hour. With an elevation gain of 488 feet, the Beehive Loop Trail is rated intermediate with a dirt and rocky surface, and not suitable for small children or anybody with fear of heights. Dogs are not allowed on the trail. The Beehive Loop Trail rewards hikers with outstanding views of Sand Beach, Great Head, Frenchman Bay, and the surrounding areas. Carry fresh drinking water, a camera and snacks.
