The Aster Peak Trail is a moderately trafficked, out-and-back trail used primarily for hiking. The 3.4-mile trail has an elevation gain of 666 fee and is not considered kid-friendly. Dogs are not allowed on the trail and also there are no restrooms. Hikers using the Aster Peak Trail may see beavers or moose, or flowers such as arnica and Indian paintbrush. I tis recommended that hikers carry their own water. The Aster Peak Trail is accessible all year round though it is at its best from April to October.
